Hydropower Scheduling User meeting 2026

Innovate, optimise, decide

Strømmast i nordlys

Join us in Trondheim, May 5-6 2026!

Electricity markets are changing fast. Growing shares of wind and solar, stronger price fluctuations, new layers of interconnected markets and emerging flexibility providers such as batteries are reshaping the landscape for hydropower producers and system planners.

At the same time, advances in modelling, optimisation and digital technologies are expanding what is possible in hydropower analysis and decision support.

At the Hydropower Scheduling User Meeting 2026, we will explore the latest developments and applications of SINTEF’s hydropower scheduling tools. The meeting offers a unique opportunity to connect with peers, gain insights from research and discover new advances in digital hydropower scheduling.

Key topics

  • Integrated modelling across multiple electricity markets and time horizons
  • Operational, seasonal and investment optimisation
  • Emerging technologies including HPC, AI and GPU solutions
  • Updates on frameworks, open datasets and technology demos
  • Recent progress in research and development
